Thank you from Women of the World

Good afternoon women and supportive men of Women of the World:

"As doors are opened for you, make sure that you've left the door open behind you for those who are coming up."

Women of the World would like to thank you for pioneering the passion and spirit of our seventh event "Social Media Tango!" Remember this date as it marks the moment we move forward to our goals: global engagement, new strategic relationships, social responsibility and business building through Weave the Women of the World. We invite you to invest in your future and complete the application for membership.

You agreed we must have more seats at the table as professional women. The view from the foot of the table no longer works. Visualize your success, recognize opportunity, create new relationships with like-minded individuals and recognize the collectiveness of We. Together we can affect change.

Remember to lift as you climb. We look forward to seeing you on the member weave of Women of the World.

Mark your calendars for October 21st event, "Women Road Warriors - Safe Home, Safe Family" with Genevieve Thiers, Kathy Ameche and Candi Carter.

Commemorating Hurricane Katrina

August 29, 2009, marked the fourth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. The real tragedy is that four years after the storm, families across the Gulf Coast region continue to endure homelessness, poverty, and inequality. Four years later, not nearly enough has been done to revitalize these communities, restore their natural flood protections and rebuild their critical infrastructure.

The tragedy doesn't have to continue. If Congress enacts the Gulf Coast Civic Works Act, legislation that would create 100,000 green jobs for hurricane survivors to rebuild and sustain their communities, the Gulf Coast could finally recover. Tell Congress that now is the time to make good on our broken promises to the victims of Katrina. Urge your representative to cosponsor the Gulf Coast Civic Works Act. The laws of a nation should reflect the morals of its citizens.
