The Sankofa, a mythical bird found in a West African proverb, is a symbol for the importance of learning from the past. Let’s review and reclaim our previous experiences as we move forward to positions of leadership. True progress for women perpetuates when we “Bring Them Up” as we guide, support, and enrich the careers of young women through mentoring.
